Mountain Bird Chicken - Fresh, Crispy Fried Chicken & Friendly Service in Brevard, NC

My first stop to pick up some lunch for us and it didn’t disappoint. We had the tenders, fries and collards. Everything was delicious! The tenders are huge and were cooked perfectly. The breading is light, crispy and delicious. And the service is spot on too. Knowing everything is freshly made from others who have been here, I asked how long it would be because I was going to go back to my car for a minute and he said 5-10 mins but he would bring it out to me. Very nice! What a great addition to town - not only fast but fresh. We’ll definitely be back.

Best chicken sandwich available. Great food and employees. Need more of them around to replace all the other crummy fast food chicken places.

My first visit here was shortly after they opened. It was good in terms of service. The chicken was tasteless to me. We had tenders, chicken sandwich and chicken biscuit. Fast forward to December 5th. We decided to try the sliders. This time it was a completely different experience. The sliders were delicious. So good we had them again today. I'm glad we decided to give it another try.

We tried out the new fried chicken spot in town and it did not disappoint! We had the chicken tenders, coleslaw, and the buffalo chicken sandwich with ranch coleslaw and fries, everything was absolutely delicious. Just a heads-up, the buffalo chicken sandwich packs some heat (spicy, spicy!) but in the best way. Since they’re brand new, there was a tiny bit of a wait, but the staff was so apologetic and kind that it didn’t bother us at all and honestly, the food was well worth it. The service was wonderful, and they bring the food right out to your table, which is such a nice touch. I also really appreciate that they have indoor seating, it makes the whole experience even better. Getting in and out of the restaurant was surprisingly easy too, which is a big plus. We’ll definitely be back, and I’m so glad to have this new option in town. If you’re craving fried chicken, you’ll want to check this place out!

The absolute best chicken around! Perfect crispy, flavorful breading without cutting your mouth to pieces! The chicken is tender, juicy and always tastes fresh, and the fries are nicely seasoned crinkle cut. I haven’t tried every sauce yet, but the house made ranch is so good I scraped every last drop out of the container. Everything is fresh made and tastes like it too, my husband’s only request is to add southern fried chicken livers to the menu, but I have no notes.

I got the Chicken Sandwich, and my boyfriend got the Fire Bird. Great sandwiches with crispy fried chicken and no skimp on sauce or size. I would recommend that they have a larger selection of food choices, and include more side choices / quality of the side if they are going to charge 5 dollars for a drink and side. It just seems like a bit to me for a side and a soda drink The service was phenomenal, and so 4/5!

Such a great experience! This was our 2nd trip. First trip we did take out & it was phenomenal! Today we ate here & sat down. Such a great use of an old building. They added some small town charm for sure! Now for the food: holy crap it’s so good! We drive exactly 1 hour & 15 minutes for this & never been disappointed. Meanwhile, near us they continue to add new chains but nothing compares to mountain chicken. They also do catering so for our upcoming events we’re going to likely consult them & have them in our rotation for feeding friends & family! The fries are seasoned so so good The chicken is crispy! The sauces are so flavorful! Don’t skimp try it all you won’t be disappointed!
